MEDIROM Healthcare Technologies Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kouji Eguchi; hereinafter referred to as "MEDIROM"), which went public on Nasdaq on December 29, 2020, has developed a new relaxation service called "Suguru Osako Running Body Care" in collaboration with Suguru Osako, a professional runner and Japanese record holder in the men's marathon, to help people recover from fatigue caused by exercise and improve their sports performance.
MEDIROM supports anyone who wants to take up running and helps conquer fears of fatigue or injury. Through the “Suguru Osako Running Body Care” service, Medirom can help take care of all kinds of athletes from runners trying to achieve a sub-3 to marathoners aiming to complete a 10km and Ironman competitors who have to run, bike and swim.
Osako has always believed that it is important to prioritize exercising and post workout recovery. MEDIROM has also thought that in addition to body care work 2~4 times a month, people should exercise on a regular basis and facilitate recovery of their body soon after exercise. The principles of these two parties merged to develop "Suguru Osako Running Body Care," a new relaxation treatment service aimed at recovering from fatigue caused by exercise and improving sports performance.
Re.Ra.Ku PRO Running Takebashi Imperial Palace Store will open on January 13, 2021 in the Palace side Building (adjacent to Takebashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line) on January 13, 2021 and be the first store to feature the "Suguru Osako Running Body Care" service. The Palace side Building is located facing the outer perimeter of the Imperial Palace, a route considered to be one of the most famous running spots in Japan. Now, the new Re.Ra.Ku brand, which consists of running stations and body care, can be experienced at the Imperial Palace, the sacred place for running. The actual "Suguru Osako Running Body Care" service is scheduled to start in February.

He then went on to Waseda University, where he won the sectional prize twice in the Hakone Ekiden, and was selected for the Japanese 10,000m team at the 2013 Moscow World Championships. After graduation, he joined the Nissin Foods Group and won the section prize in the first section of the New Year Ekiden on New Year's Day, 2015. After leaving the company in March 2015, he joined the Nike Oregon Project, which had been his training base for some time. He is still active as a professional runner.
